About the program

The Diploma of Criminology provides a fascinating introduction to the study of criminology with subjects including Media and Crime, Forensic Victimology, Crime and Deviance and the Australian Criminal Justice System.

The Diploma of Criminology will teach students core skills to enhance their career prospects, whether that be a student fresh out of high school or someone wishing to upgrade their qualifications. Some core skills covered include; familiarity with the criminal justice system and the ability to draw on knowledge and perspectives from a range of disciplines such as law, sociology, psychology and history. Communicating in groups, problem solving, decision making, rational and critical thinking, an understanding of ethics, morals and cultural beliefs. It will allow students to question why different societies define and respond to crime in different ways. Successful completion of the Diploma of Criminology will provide students with either a pathway to Bond University undergraduate degrees or a start to your career in intelligence analysis, research, or consulting in the areas of state and federal government, law enforcement or crime research.
