About CQUniversity Australia

Central Queensland University was founded in 1967 in Rockhampton as the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia, and was granted university status in 1992. It adopted the name University of Central Queensland the same year. The university changed its name in 1994 to Central Queensland University. The university grew later in 2008 and changed its name to CQUniversity. As one of the biggest institutions situated in regional Australia, the university today educates over 30,000 students. Australia students, as well as students from more than 140 other countries, have access to first-rate academic facilities.

In addition to Rockhampton, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns, Bundaberg, Brisbane, Gladstone, Emerald, Townsville, Noosa, Sydney, and Mackay, the institution has campuses throughout Australia. The university also runs a number of study centres in addition to this. The institution offers short-term, certificate, postgraduate, and undergraduate degree programmes in addition to research. Education and humanities, accountancy and law, community services, apprenticeships, trades and training, psychology, health, performing and visual arts, social work, IT and digital media, science, and environment are just a few of the study areas that are available at the institution.

The institution also collaborates with local, national, and worldwide scholars as well as research networks to further its research goals. The artwork is given on loan to other businesses, including museums, galleries, and other organisations, to be displayed momentarily. The school takes great pride in its network of more than 100,000 alumni. Most of its former students are now active leaders in society all across the world.
