About TasTAFE

With 14 campuses, TasTAFE is one of the biggest Registered Training Organizations in Australia. It is situated in Tasmania. TasTAFE offers over 370 certified study programmes, from Certificate to Advanced Diploma levels, that are relevant to industry.

English Language Entry Requirements

Since all of TasTAFE's courses are taught in English, proficiency in the language is a must for enrollment.

TasTAFE can provide you with instruction at the English Language Centre in Hobart if you fall short of the minimal English language requirement for direct entry into your desired programme (see table below).

The scores on the English placement test needed to enrol directly in a certificate or diploma programme at TasTAFE are listed in the table below:

If you don't have a recent English language test score, GETI is able to give Oxford online placement exams after obtaining a complete application. After your application has been filed, our admissions team can provide you access to this for free.

Please be aware that before a Letter of Offer is granted, applicants for the Diploma in Nursing must present proof of a successful English language assessment from a recognised test source (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL iBT, OET). For enrolment in the Diploma in Nursing, CAE is not recognised as proof of English language competency.
