Prepare for a career in marketing
You'll gain a solid business education and develop the practical skills that you will need to be successful in a range of marketing roles.
After graduation
With a Diploma in Business Administration – Marketing Option, you will be prepared to work in entrepreneurial enterprises, business, not-for-profits, government and community tourism environments in areas such as marketing and sales management, public relations, advertising and customer service.
You will also graduate with credit towards the Bachelor of Business Administration programs at Camosun College. There is also 2-year block transfer credit to degree programs at other institutions including Royal Roads University and the University of Lethbridge. Transfer credit to other post-secondary institutions on a course-by-course basis is available.
Work experience
You will gain practical skills and experience by combining your academic studies with relevant work experience in the Co-operative Education designation.
You'll graduate with work experience and employer references. Employers value internship as a source of eager and well-prepared talent and often use the internship process as a means of recruiting permanent employees.
What to expect
The Business Administration-Marketing Option program is primarily located at our Interurban Campus. Choose full- or part-time studies, to fit your schedule.
Year 1
In the first year, you'll work through introductory–level courses in accounting, finance, economics, and marketing. Exit the program now with a Certificate in Business Administration or continue onto the year 2.
Year 2
In your second year, you'll work through marketing research, creative selling, and entrepreneurship courses. Exit the program now with a Diploma in Business Administration-Marketing Option.
