What is the Study of Manufacturing?

The Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree in Manufacturing builds the skills and knowledge required by the manufacturing sector in order to pursue a rewarding future in manufacturing and industrial management.

The Manufacturing program at CBU combines theoretical principles with the hands-on experience and technical courses related to the manufacturing industry. Students are educated on the essential elements and current practices relating to manufacturing standards, including mechanical engineering, statistical process control, quality control, manufacturing cost control and Lean Manufacturing techniques. The program also looks at design, materials properties, machines and robotics, plus human factors in manufacturing operations. The BET in Manufacturing covers all areas of knowledge in demand by employers in the manufacturing sector.

Options for Study at CBU

This program is available entirely via distance education for eligible students. Students complete the program via distance format in as little as one academic year.
