Overview
Acquire the skills needed to support individuals with disabilities in early intervention, community settings, schools, recreation, and employment. You will be prepared to create, implement, assess, and modify plans to help utilize individual strengths and abilities to increase opportunities for meaningful participation in the community.
Transferability
NorQuest College will seek a block transfer of the Disability Studies diploma into the Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation at University of Calgary. Additional transfer agreements, such as with the Bachelor of Professional Arts Program (Human Services Major) at Athabasca University, will be pursued.

Career Potential
The program will prepare graduates for employment in a number of careers in the non-profit sector for Community Disability Sector Services, and various departments within municipal and provincial governments, including Family Managed Services (Alberta Children’s Services and Disability Services Division).
