Post-Diploma Certificate at Olds College

The one-year Post-Diploma Certificate (30 credits) at Olds College is designed to enhance your previously obtained post-secondary education with practical and employable skills in an area of specialization (e.g., Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Business and Environment).

What can you expect from our program?

Through a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on learning on the Olds College farm, landscape pavilion, in greenhouses, and in-field experiences, students will benefit from small class sizes and instructors with extensive knowledge and experience.

Who is this program for?

• The Post-Diploma Certificate is ideal for international students who have earned a diploma or equivalent in their home country and are looking for a international experience.  International students should review our international webpage.
• The Post-Diploma Certificate is also suited for recent graduates who have earned a diploma or degree in a general field like business or science, and who are looking to round out their education with focused and career-ready skills.
• The Post-Diploma Certificate may also be an excellent choice for mature learners with previous education and who are looking to retrain for a new career.

Course Selection

• After admission, students will work with an advisor in the Office of the Registrar to determine areas of interest;
• Prior to starting, students will select suitable courses based on availability;
• Course selections will normally be from one area of specialization, however applicable courses from other areas of study may be considered.
