Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Management Practice - Year Four - Direct Entry at Institute of Technology Carlow

What is the course about?

The programme was developed to provide an alternative progression route for graduates from the BA Sport Coaching and Business Management (Soccer / GAA / Rugby) Level 7.  The BA (Honours) Management Practice is designated as a Bachelor of Arts as it is building on a BA that contains substantial elements of sport related material and is therefore essentially an Arts degree with a major in Management Practice.

On completion of the course students will have a detailed understanding of:

• Marketing Management
• Management and Leadership
• Operations and Event Management
• Digital Marketing
• Enterprise Development

Special Features

The programme provides an alternative route in Management Practice mainly for students of the IT Carlow Level 7 BA Sport Coaching and Business Management programme. It would also be relevant to other level 7 students who have an element of business in their programmes.

Further Studies

Graduate of this course may be eligible to progress to Masters level in the areas of Business.

Career Prospects

Graduate will be able to work in a variety of roles in business including sales and marketing roles.
