Therapeutic Radiography BSc equips you with the skills, knowledge, and technical expertise needed to plan and deliver radiotherapy whilst caring for people with cancer. You will learn how to identify and manage side effects of radiotherapy whilst caring for patients in a holistic way. You will use advanced state of the art radiotherapy equipment in a safe and responsible manner to image and target tumours with millimetre accuracy, delivering the maximum dose with minimum impact on healthy tissue.
The therapeutic radiographer works alongside clinical oncologists, physicists and other healthcare professionals in a multi-disciplinary oncology team to provide patient-centred care.
You will demonstrate the values of the NHS constitution, treating all service users with respect, dignity, compassion and care.
It is important that you have both the appropriate caring personality and technical and analytical skills.
