Nutrition with Food Marketing BSc Honours at Newcastle University

You explore the application of food marketing and nutritional science to food markets, food consumers, diet, nutrition and health.

Topics include:

• the structure of the food industry (which represents the largest manufacturing base in Europe)
• the links between diet and health
• the challenges of securing a globally sustainable, safe and nutritious food system
• how consumers choose which foods to buy

You'll gain the critical and analytical skills required to assess the global food system from a social, economic, legal, technological, ethical, political and environmental perspective.

Students studying this course are eligible to apply for accreditation with:

• the Association for Nutrition (AfN)
• the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

Our Nutrition with Food Marketing graduates can apply for portfolio entry into the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists at associate level and use the letters ANutr after their name should their application be successful.
