In an increasingly complex modern world, you need a degree that allows you to pursue your interests, while broadening your horizons.
We offer a US-style Liberal Studies degree that combines your chosen subject with a range of different subjects and ideas. Our programme enables you to select a specialism - or "major" - as well as a broad range of electives from different subject areas.
Liberal Arts degrees are designed to produce rounded, adaptable citizens who have strong values, a strong respect for knowledge, and valuable critical thinking skills. These are skills that will help you to secure a place in this fast-moving economy, and test your leadership and collaborative skills.
Our modern approach will:
- Shape your character, and encourage you to work individually and as part of a team
- Develop leadership skills, while recognising the importance of community, adaptability and cooperation
- Refine your critical thinking skills, and reflect on your own thoughts and actions
- Complement your specialist knowledge with broader skills and insights from other disciplines
In addition to your specialism, you will select a number of electives per year from different subject areas, ranging from psychology to journalism, acting, business, or music. You will add depth to your learning by improving your communication skills, grasp of scientific method and quantitative literacy.
This programme is for students that wish to specialise in Art History as their major. Art History isn't just the study of images or objects. It is a discipline that explores where and when a notable piece was produced, and the unique circumstances and ideas that helped create it.
On this programme, you will:
You'll be in the perfect place to discover art and creativity throughout the centuries. Our beautiful Regent's Park location in the heart of London, will enable you to explore stunning galleries, museums and exhibitions. Many of our classes take place in public and private galleries and venues across the city, enabling you to study artworks up-close.
