The course

All of our lives are touched by the products of Electronic Engineering. The breakthroughs made by today's electronic engineers help to create the mobile devices, personal media, computers, smart transportation and domestic appliances we use every day, but also have a more profound impact on issues such as environmental sustainability, healthcare and information security.

We're in the midst of a major technological revolution, and as such there has never been a more exciting time to study Electronic Engineering. Our flexible degree programmes enable you to apply to take a Placement Year, which can be spent studying abroad, working or carrying out voluntary work. You can even do all three if you want to (minimum of three months each)! To recognise the importance of this additional skills development and university experience, your Placement Year will be formally recognised on your degree certificate and will contribute to your overall result.
