If you want to orientate your earlier degree qualification towards a career in international finance, banking and insurance this master’s degree will set you on the right path.

Like a conventional finance master's degree, this course opens up the operation of modern business organisations and the role of financial institutions and capital markets in the global economy.

The MFin International Finance degree is particularly suitable for those with or without a business degree who may wish to re-direct or extend their career path in this direction.

The course responds directly to employers’ needs and prioritises team work; research and data analysis; report writing; presentations and multi-cultural interaction. It focuses on real-world skills and comprises a foundation module, eight finance modules and a short finance-based business report. The optional modules are varied and aimed at building your overall knowledge of international finance. Your options include, global financial markets, global risk analysis, risk and investment, econometrics, corporate finance, econometrics and emerging financial markets, to name a few.

You can study the straight MFin International Finance degree, or you can specialise in one of the following two degrees:

  • MFin International Finance and Investment Management
Relevant to you if you are looking to develop your career, or move into the investment and brokering side of the financial sector. Perhaps you are considering a career in private banking, portfolio management or the professional management of securities and assets.
  • MFin International Finance, Risk and Regulation
Specialising in risk and regulation has become much more relevant in the last decade. The speed and complexity of changing regulations and the risk associated. It is a critical aspect of business to monitor change, understand the risks and be adaptable to change.
