This childhood and youth studies degree opens doors to many career opportunities, from community and local government roles to social enterprise.
Our childhood and youth studies degree will develop your understanding of the rights of children and young people and their status in society. You will learn to recognise how the experiences of childhood and youth are shaped by factors such as class, race, region and nationality.
Taught by experts in the field, this course uses sociology, psychology and history to explore childhood. You can also gain experience within social enterprise, a rapidly growing sector that uses commercial strategies to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
You have the option to take a pathway in education to develop a deeper understanding of education in the context of children and young people. The assessment is more education-focused and you graduate with a BA Hons Childhood and Youth Studies (Education).
