This childhood and youth studies extended degree opens doors to many career opportunities, from community and local government roles to social enterprise.
Our childhood and youth studies extended degree course starts with a foundation year to prepare you for degree-level study. After your first year, you will study the same modules as on our three-year course. You will learn to recognise how the experiences of childhood and youth are shaped by factors such as class, race, region and nationality.
Taught by experts in the field, this course uses sociology, psychology and history to explore childhood. You can also study and gain experience within social enterprise, a rapidly growing sector that uses commercial strategies to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
