LAW WITH MANAGEMENT at University of Salford

Combining an intellectually rigorous curriculum with an industry focus, Law with Management is an excellent way to gain the skills and knowledge required for a career as a solicitor, barrister or in a managerial position. You will study at our Salford campus close to Manchester city centre.

During your time at Salford Business School, you’ll expand your academic knowledge, gain valuable industry experiences and develop professional skills to help you excel in any corporate, business, public service or third sector employment.  Modules are designed around the current needs of employers and the law profession.  We also place great emphasis on the development your professional skills; you will have the opportunity to shadow working lawyers and judges, practice your learning during a year’s work placement and develop your client skills by helping people looking for support from our legal advice schemes. In this way, you learn to put your academic knowledge into practice.

Outside of the course, extra-curricular activities such as mooting and law debates are arranged by our Law Society, and opportunities like the CLOCK initiative and the professional placement year give you the chance to use your knowledge in real-world situations. The course is accredited by the Bar Standards Board and by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, meaning your studies will satisfy the requirements of the legal professional bodies for the award of a qualifying law degree.
