University of Strathclyde English Language Requirment
IELTS:
- UG & PG – 6.5 overall with no individual band less than 5.5. Some departments accept IELTs 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each element).
The current standard requirements are:
IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
Faculty of Science: IELTS (Academic): 6.0 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
For entry onto main degree with the following English conditions:-
A] IELTS condition 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- TOEFL (ibt): 73-79 overall, Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20
Writing: 19 - (PTE): 54-57 overall, with a minimum of 51 in each component
B] IELTS condition 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- TOEFL (ibt): 80+ overall, Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20
Writing: 19 - (PTE): 58+ overall, with a minimum of 51 in each component
C] IELTS condition 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
- TOEFL (ibt): 80+ overall, Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 22
- (PTE): 58+ overall, with a minimum of 54 in each component
