About Bentley University

Bentley University was first known as the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance when it was founded in 1917. Harry C. Bentley, who presided over the institution as president from 1933 to 1953, founded it. Boylston College in Boston had been replaced by Waltham College in Massachusetts as the result of President Morison's decision. In 1971, the college received accreditation to award bachelor's degrees, and in 1973, accreditation to award graduate degrees. Around this period, the school's name was changed to Bentley College. It became a university in 2008. Their motto is "Paratus," which translates as "prepared" in English from Latin. Its name is Falcons, and its colours are blue and white. Bentley University's mascot is Flex the Falcon.

Three sections make up Bentley University's campus. The Upper Campus is the first. Beaver Street is located to the north of it. The majority of the academic buildings and all the classrooms are housed there. The school bookstore, a few dorms for upperclassmen, and three freshman dorms are also located on the Upper Campus. The Lower Campus is the name of the second campus. There is a multipurpose arena, the Dana Athletic Center, and more upperclassman housing. A bridge crossing Beaver Street connects the Lower Campus and Upper Campus. Beaver Street is located north of the Lower Campus. The North Campus is the name of the third campus. Residence Halls A, B, C, and D are located there. Residence halls A and B were inaugurated in 2005, followed by C and D in 2007. On Forest Street, close to the Upper Campus's main entrance, is where you'll find the North Campus.
