About Claremont Graduate University

Claremont Graduate University was established in 1925 as a prominent private research institution in Claremont, California. The university, often known as CGU, is an autonomous institution that provides exclusively graduate academic programmes. For 37 years, it was known as University College, but in 1962, it was renamed Claremont Graduate School and University Center. The institution's name was changed to Claremont University Center in 1967. In 1998, its name was changed to Claremont Graduate University. The university campus consists of around 550 acres of land and more than 175 structures. 22 percent of the university's student body is comprised of overseas students from more than 50 different nations.

The university is affiliated with Claremont Colleges and has access to numerous facilities. Pomona College, Scripps College, Harvey Mudd College, Claremont McKenna College, and Pitzer College are undergraduate member institutions. The institution has a lively atmosphere and is comprised of seven distinct schools. And among these schools are the School of Arts & Humanities, the School of Social Science, the Drucker School of Management, the School of Community & Global Health, the School of Educational Studies, the Center for Information Systems & Technology, Policy, & Evaluation, and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. In addition, the university contains the Paul Gray PC Museum, a computer museum. Students at Claremont Graduate University have access to a variety of campus resources and academic assistance programmes. It maintains 24 groups and clubs for graduate students. In the colleges, 550 faculty members provide instruction to the students. In addition, kids have access to four libraries containing over 2 million volumes.

It has shaped the personalities of renowned individuals, including prominent government officials, corporate executives, authors, poets, and entertainers. Douglass Adair (American historian and historiographer), Stephen Cambone (first U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence), Tom Cotton (United States Senator and Congressman from Arkansas), Rajiv Dutta (President of Skype and PayPal), Abdulla Yameen (President of The Maldives), Richard Armour (poet and author of over 65 books), and Suzanne Muchnic are a few of the well-known alumni (art critic, journalist, writer).
