Around 200 undergraduate majors, 79 master's programmes, and 45 doctoral programmes are offered by Oklahoma State University-Stillwater through its six colleges, along with a veterinary school and an osteopathic medical school. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 20:1, the institution helps students prepare for the future by providing the necessary academic support. Through the Honors College, OSU offers additional opportunities to choose students for study, conducting research, and sharing ideas in a more demanding and encouraging academic atmosphere. The Graduate College oversees the advanced education programmes offered by all schools.
Three academic Departments make up the College for Veterinary Medicine, or CVM: Veterinary Pathobiology, Physiological Sciences, and Veterinary Clinical Sciences. The four-year professional programme leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree is shared by each of the three academic divisions. For students who are busy, OSU Online offers convenient and advantageous online school credit courses. They have the option to begin or complete an undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or professional certificate programme. Students can access the legacy of OSU online whenever and wherever they want.
Perhaps the best way to meet people and integrate into the community is to live on campus. Students reside in on-campus housing that is conveniently located. They have the option of picking their own roommate or asking the institute to help them find a roommate who shares their interests, routines, and scheduling preferences. The institution features 34 fraternities and sororities, 13 living-learning communities, 32 residence halls, and more over 500 student groups.
The institution also provides numerous scholarships and grants as non-repayable gift aid. Some of them include federal and state grants, undergraduate scholarships, graduate student scholarships, international student scholarships, scholarships for current undergraduate students, and scholarships for transfer students.
Oil mogul and billionaire philanthropist T. Boone Pickens, actor James Marsden, "the pioneer of the personal computer" Ed Roberts, country singers Garth Brooks and Hoyt Axton, and former South Korean Prime Minister Nam Duck-woo are just a few of the notable graduates.
