UC Santa Barbara International Admissions
International students from 79 countries attend the University of California, accounting for roughly 14% of the university's overall student population of 3,261 students. China, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, and Iran are among the institute's top countries of origin.
Each country has its own set of standards for its students; in India, this includes a minimum score of 70% in the 12th grade board exams. Admissions for international students are identical to those for domestic students. The duolingo English proficiency test is one of the examinations to study in the United States that is highly recommended for overseas applicants.

As part of the admissions process, international students must have their transcripts evaluated by the ATA. All undergraduate degree-seeking applicants who have completed post-secondary coursework outside of the United States must pay an obligatory, non-refundable 50 USD International Credential Evaluation Fee. Because the original documents are not returned, only photocopies must be submitted.
