University of Central Arkansas English Language Requirment

The University of Central Arkansas requires international students whose first language is not English to demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following methods:

1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 61 on the internet-based test (iBT), 500 on the paper-based test, or 173 on the computer-based test is required.
2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 5.5 is required.
3. Pearson Test of English (PTE): A minimum score of 44 is required.
4. SAT or ACT: Students who score a minimum of 18 on the English section of the ACT or 440 on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section may be considered for admission.
5. Completion of an approved intensive English language program: Students who have completed an intensive English language program at an approved institution may be considered for admission.

Please note that some academic programs may have higher English language proficiency requirements. Additionally, students who do not meet the minimum English proficiency requirements may be eligible for conditional admission and required to take English language courses at UCA's Intensive English Program before beginning their degree program.
