University of Dallas English Language Requirment

The University of Dallas requires international students for whom English is not their native language to demonstrate their proficiency in English by submitting the results of an English language proficiency test. The university accepts the following tests and minimum scores:

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test (iBT) or a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test (PBT)
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Minimum score of 6.5
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): Minimum score of 53
• Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 100

In addition to these standardized tests, the University of Dallas also accepts the following English proficiency assessments:

• SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: Minimum score of 550
• ACT English: Minimum score of 21
• IB English Language A: Minimum score of 5
• GCE/IGCSE English: Minimum score of C

It's important to note that some programs at the University of Dallas may have higher English proficiency requirements. Additionally, the university may waive the English proficiency requirement for students who have completed high school or college-level coursework in English or who are citizens of countries where English is the official language. It's recommended that international students check with the university's admissions office for specific requirements and exceptions.
