The discipline of exercise science examines the body’s physiological responses to exercise, the role of regular physical activity in maintaining health and wellness, and the chronic health conditions that are associated with physical inactivity (i.e., heart disease, diabetes, obesity).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The BS in exercise science prepares students for advanced degrees in health-related fields and emphasizes formal science education in a context of human health science. The program is suited for students interested in graduate programs in physical therapy, medical school, physician assistant programs, pharmacy school, and dental school.
