University of Wyoming Ranking
The University of Wyoming (UW), a research university with its headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming, was established in 1886. From 2016 to 2019, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Ranking), which ranks universities, consistently ranked the University of Washington between 400 and 500. However, in 2020, AWRU's ranking fell to between 501 and 600. Wyoming University's position in the QS (Top Universities) global university ranking has likewise dropped from 651-700 in 2019 to 701-750 in 2020, and then to 801-1000 in 2021.
Additionally, Wyoming's position in US News & World Report's ranking of the world's universities dropped from 696th in 2020 to 726th in 2021. Wyoming's standing in the national university rankings has improved from 228th for 2020 to 196th for 2021, according to US News. The University of Wyoming now ranks higher among all universities in the country.
