The online cybersecurity degree program includes required core courses and a required specialization option. Core courses are designed to support you, no matter what education or professional background you may bring to the program. In core courses, you will gain the necessary knowledge for going in-depth into this field of study.

MS in Cybersecurity Specializations

Specialization in Ethical Hacking and Pen Testing: The Ethical Hacking and Pen Testing specialization is designed to provide you with the unique applications involved in Cyber Security and Information Assurance (CSIA). In this specialization, you will focus on ethical hacking and penetration (Pen) testing where you will probe network and information system security components by conducting simulated attacks on systems.

This specialization prepares you to develop rules of engagement, prepare a toolkit, discover and exploit system vulnerabilities, ethically conduct a penetration test, and prepare penetration test documentation.

Specialization in Information Assurance and Security Policy: The specialization in Information Assurance and Security Policy provides you with knowledge and skill in the professional domain of cybersecurity and information assurance, focusing on the organizational and informational portion of the field. This arena particularly involves larger organizations, often in government, that have codified standards, policies, and practices for this field.
