Communication and Media at New Jersey Institute of Technology

Communication and Media involves the study of how to communicate effectively using all types of verbal and visual techniques in the contemporary media environment. From writing and human communication, to web design and video and audio production, the talents of communication specialists make them assets in business, industry, government, journalism, and in technological, scientific, humanistic, and artistic communities.

Students that major in Communication and Media learn to plan, organize and execute projects, programs, and events. They must be attentive to detail but at the same time understand the big picture. Communication majors learn to write effectively in many different modes including creative, persuasive, descriptive and journalistic styles.
