About University of California Davis

The University Farm School, which served as UC Berkeley's science and research-based division until 1908, is where the University of California Davis (UC Davis) got its start. With only 18 students, the institution opened its doors in 1909. In 1922, the Northern Branch of the College of Agriculture was given a new name. In 1938, it underwent another name change to become the College of Agriculture at Davis. The college received its current name in 1959 after expanding into a larger campus. Four colleges and seven schools make up the university's current academic organisation. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has granted the university accreditation (WASC).

Along Interstate 80 in Yolo County, the university's campuses, including the main academic campus, are situated close to Davis. Sacramento, the state's capital, is where you can find UC Davis Health. Additionally, UC Davis owns and operates numerous academic buildings and sites throughout California and one in Nevada. In addition to top-notch academic facilities like classrooms, auditoriums, libraries, and laboratories, the university campus also provides a variety of recreational and sporting opportunities. In addition to having racquetball and basketball courts, it also offers a climbing wall, an equestrian centre, an indoor track, a large swimming pool, a bowling alley, a billiards room, a TV lounge, and a crafts centre. The university also provides top-notch eating and lodging options. Ample parking, transportation, and health services are also offered to students.
