Downtown Los Angeles is about three miles away from USC. The university park campus is adorned with monuments including sculptures, fountains, historic buildings, and more. The majority of the students taking undergraduate courses here live on or near the campus, making this a residential community. Both on and off campus, there are dining halls, cafes, and other possibilities. Over 100 master's degrees, certifications, and PhD courses are taught online in addition to the traditional UG and PG courses. The University of Southern California offers a huge selection of courses.
More than 71,000 applications were submitted in 2022 for the fall freshmen class. Currently, 12.5% of applicants are accepted to the University of California. Admissions at USC are therefore selective. In the last five years, there has been a significant increase in the number of students who are attending the university for the first time in their families. Regarding the normal enrollment, there will be a total of 28,500 students enrolled in 2021–2022, of whom 21,000 will be enrolled in undergraduate courses and the remaining 28,500 will be pursuing graduate and professional degrees. 1,735 Indian students are currently enrolled at USC.
Due to a larger demand than available housing, students who intend to live on campus are advised to apply as soon as possible. There are over 1,500 furnished graduate housing options accessible for students. Most of these will also have a kitchen connected. Laundry facilities are located close to campus for the convenience of the students. Cable TV and wireless internet are available in every residence.
The University of Southern California offers financial aid and scholarships totaling more than $640 million. With a yearly income of $80,000 or less, students can now attend USC tuition-free thanks to a new initiative. The best aspect is that undergraduate students don't have to pay back any of the scholarships they get from the university, the state, the federal government, or private organisations.
Speaking of USC graduates, Neil Armstrong—the first person to set foot on the moon—was a prominent USC alumnus. Other famous individuals include American actors John Wayne and George Lucas, American filmmaker Jonathan Ke Quan, American actress Melody Thomas Scott, and American actors Jonathan Ke Quan and Susan Downey.
